The owner of Chien Beo used to be a saucier at Sofitel Plaza, he's a good with steaks. I agree with DepTrai, you go there for steaks, not for the beautiful surroundings.

Friend, I planning another trip to Hanoi next week. 4 trips to Vietnam for the past few weeks. :D Will give u a call when I'm free. I should be in Hanoi from Tue to Fri then go over to BKK or HCMC for the weekend. :D

I tried some more deep sea fishing. DepTrai pointed me to everything I needed to know, now I am trying to practice the skills.

Easy. Just ask again.
These girls are testing you to see if you are a real man.
So act confident, smile, and say something like "Wow, you really don't have a phone? You must be very nha que...(wait)...Look, here's a pen and paper. Just write down your yahoo chat nick. Don't be afraid, it's not going to hurt." When she is writing the chat nick, say "ok, and now you put the phone number right below here". 99% of the time it will work.

#2 girl cancels 1st date

This is a no-no. Delete her number and move on. Either you did something wrong before - or more likely has huge problems in the mind and isn't worth your energy.

#3 girl cancels 2nd or 3rd or 4th date.

THIS WILL ALWAYS HAPPEN with model etc. And it will happen only hours before the time you agreed to meet. Don't worry - it's just a test again. The girl wants to confirm that you are a real man.

So, don't get angry. Don't be sad. Don't do anything stupid. Act like you don't care. If she calls you on the day of your date, don't pick up the phone. Wait a few hours, think about what to say, and call back later when you are confident about how to handle it. If she sends you a msg that day, wait before you reply.

I usually send a msg like this:

"You are really afraid to meet a perfect and attractive man like me! Don't worry, I'll treat you like shit, that will make it easier for you to forget me when I dump you".

Women love this message. They think it's funny, they think it's not like what other men say. Now just wait a few day, then ask her out again in a firm way, like "meet me tuesday or thursday evening, I am busy on wednesday".

#4 girl cancels another date...AGAIN

Usually you should forget her. But some girls who really think they are very perfect will repeat their test. And they will not accept the exact same rejection handling again. A text message is cheap, so you can say something like this "Do you really want I delete your phone number?"

I just did that. A girl canceled 2 out of 5 dates in within 3 weeks. The 2nd cancellation msg was "Sorry I have to go to my que. A relative just died. I will be back in 2 days". I just replied "ok", then after 2 days I wrote to her "Meet me Wednesday or Friday evening, at XY cafe. Or do you really want I delete your phone number?"

I got an immediate reply to that one. "No, never (crying face). I have something for you. Do you have free time tomorrow?"

I almost wanted to say thank you.. but I didn't, after thinking for 5 seconds. So I wrote "no free time tomorrow, I'm in Saigon baby. I already deleted you on my new phone, you were lucky I used my old phone today. Meet me Wednesday evening"

follow up

Wednesday she will probably again not send any msg to me, to see if I beg her to meet her. I plan to wait until the afternoon, if I don't hear from her I will send this: "Why should I never delete your number? You really think you are so perfect? I don't believe you. You need to show me that. Today [time and place]"

That day, I will remind her she needs to show me why I should be interested in her. If she wants to give me that gift right away, I will say "wait wait wait, now first you show me what makes you so special, then you pay the bill for us, and then we'll see about the gift". If it won't work out, at least I had some cheap fun, and get to practice.

To get phone numbers, and to date high maintenance girls....you need to handle rejection. The same goes for sex. Most will refuse that too - so I need to practice my rejection handling skills to let me touch them to make them hot. Whatever they reject can be handled in the same way. Just act confident, relaxed, make a joke if you can, tell her you don't really care too much about her, and that she needs to chase you. Quite a few will. But it's still a numbers game. Some will reject no matter what. So like in sales you need a pipeline, enough prospects, so you can forget and move on in case of serious resistance, you don't want to waste time. But some deals will work out. And luckily, text messages are quick and cheap.
