go these kind of place sure kenna chop carrot one way or another one. The prices to sit down and drink and book girls to sit with you will be standard one.. tipping the girl and tar bao back will depends on how they want to chop you and how easily you let them chop liao... if you cannot speak Viet and dun wan to kenna chop carrot, then you have to stay in room liao. So dun worry about chop carrot.. take it as paying school fees and then please remember to write about it here.

I've been here for a month+ and would just like to thank the seniors for producing this thread which has been very helpful.

I was supposed to stay in the Daewoo Hotel but asit was up to me I chose the Fortuna which was a good intro. Didn't know there was a niteclub next to the Daewoo though.:cool:

I usually go to Relax or 17 and have not had much success. Had one ger that I had lunch with on Sat/Sun who wanted me to buy her a dong 10m neckless I just said can - but we need to get to know each other better for a good while first. She actually, I found out later had a viet boyfriend.

Working on some stuff outside the hotel and taking Hanoi as an adventure although I did have a weekend away in Bangkok.:D

Heard that if I bring a ger to the Fortuna at nite have to pay $50 for a second room and no way to slip past security as they have CTV's on all the floors. Was tinking of taking that up as a challenge.:rolleyes:

I haven't dun much in SBF but pretty active in RFR with Carrot007. All the best for Tet bros.

my hotel near phu yen street. can advice me what is the standard charge at such bbbj joint in hanoi? tips needed? i wana venture there. by the way, what does the signboard of this mention? " CAT -TOC" and pink light? i saw some massage joint in auco area also with pink light.

Cat Toc means Hair Cut (direct translation). there are 2 kinds of standard charge for bbbj at such joint; local charge and foreigner charge (chop carrot).

Local charge - VND50k to vnd70k for entry, tips maybe another vnd50k to vnd80k.

Foreigner charge - US$10-US$15 for entry.. tips they will try asking USD$50 and you start bargaining down from there. would be interesting if you cannot speak viet cos they cannot speak English... duck and chicken..
