No. It is a nice place to spend 3 to 4 hrs with your girl and friends, and I only paid 1300 P for 2 person.

I believe Manila is not just about MBC, Air-Force 1, Starfleet, girly-bars and big shopping malls.

Next time I will visit Intramuros, Manila Cathedral, National Museum, etc. And my girl's mom wants me to bring them to Tagaytay on my next trip. Hmm...I'll have to save up for my next trip, and will definitely avoid Christmas!!:D

My trip here is see as many as possible, after finish major sights... use manila for transit..
Use 1st n Last night(Horniest 2 nights) in manila.....hehe... the rest explore other philipines area...

Outside 7-11, the 2 lady-boys persisted in trying to make friends with me for the next 15 mins. I had no choice but to run into my hotel lobby where they dare not enter. I frantically called my girl to hurry down from Batangas asap!!


One of the reason I stay in Rivera is - the security very clear in allowing 'followers' into the lobby .. unlike the nearby Executive Plaza, more than once 'friends' (confidence tricksters') were allowed to come into the lobby following me ..

haha_123: if your girl is from Batangas, try to arrange a trip to Peurto Galera .. that will be worth it ..and maybe cheaper ;) Tagaytay with the 'barangay' in tow is not my idea of 'fun...'

Are you planning to marry your girl? Have you met the girl's family? How are they like? Do they demand gifts or money from you or they always ask your girl to ask you for gifts? That will give u a clear view what sort of family they are.

Marrying a pinay = marry the whole family. Better make sure her family are the decent type or at least make it clear that you will only take care of her and not her whole village. If not you are in for a hard time coz everyday somebody uncle aunty want to borrow money from you. Typical Pinoy utang habit.

Depends on the Pinay .. I know enough Pinays who will NOT ask money or anything .. and consider it as an insult to ask so .. ;) not even as a loan or borrow .. (or Barrow .. as they normally say .. )

I not say all Pinay are like that. What I wrote is like the worse case scenario or super extreme case. However, I know one of my gf's friend whose bf is a Japanese and who she met in Singapore. This girl's mother keep asking her to ask her Jap bf for many things, ask him to buy ticket bring her and mother to SG for holiday, ask him to rent or buy house for them etc. LOL

Of coz I have met enough middle class pinoy who work in Makati or city area who will be to ashamed to even ask for it. Just to be careful na.

Then again, I also have come across middle-class pinays who have no qualms asking strangers to buy ticket for mother, or pay for hotel to stay etc. with no plan to even reward or repay the favour .. their brain being hard wired to the 'foreigner rich what ... ' algorithm ..

Yes sometime it is very hard to know what they are thinking. I have given up on that long ago. As long as I sense something not right or asking for too much money, I rather throw away the bait. But, buying a small dinner for her and her 'friends' as long as it is not too expensive is still consider part of my courtship strategy of being 'generous'. heee

Are you referring to Sea Residences? If so, its location is good. I paid 2.5k per night when I last stayed there.

Errr....My businessman friend told me that it is BAD LUCK to have sex when the girl is on code red.

My Filipino colleagues refused to go back to their country during Christmas. When I ask them why. They told me that it is because they have to buy presents for all the family members and relatives when they go back.

I'm not certain if this is the Filipino culture. Perhaps some seniors can throw some light on the matter.
