but from the ariival terminal 1 how to go ontop to the departure hall
it's quite easy to get the white taxi actually.

t1 = just take the lift to the 3rd floor (arrival) walk out and you should be able to flag a white taxi

t3 = take the escalator up 2 floors (arrival) exit at the other end, and you should usually see a waiting line of white taxis. try to get a taxi that has NOT been waiting however, as the ones waiting for a while tend to ask for flat rate.

t2 = not very familiar, i rarely take phil air, but if i recall, exit the building, walk up the stairs and you will be at arrival. should be able to flag down a white taxi there.

And yes, if they refuse to turn on the meter, just ask them to let you alight, and get another white taxi. i personally never had any issues getting a replacement taxi around the airport, due to the constant flow of traffic and nearby establishments.

I would be wary of placing my trust in the locals. I've lived in both LOS & the Phils for over 17 years but I still cannot put my trust totally in any pinoy.

do u know wheres Asian Entertainment Center ? if u do know, besdies Asian Eneterainment, its Dynasty KTV club and besides Dynasty its Bini Bini KTV Club.

And besides Bini Bini, theres Liberty Island KTV club.




and if u cant locate Asian Entertainment, ask taxi driver go Heritage Hotel (this one guarantee all drivers will know),get down and walk 200 meters , u will reach Asian Entertainment, then follow above directions

well, I have been messing with pinoys and pinays for the past 15 years, yes, 2 years short of yours .. and have a firm anchor in PH as well.

You are right in a way, and then my saying is - depends on what kind of upbringing the local guy/girl you are close has.

I know enough and more girls, including colleagues who worked/work in Singapore, as I mentioned elsewhere, wouldn't hesitate to introduce their BF as 'cousin' and with not a worry in the world, abuse your hospitality .. heck, recently had a co-worker, who went to a bar where I had parked a Black Label, emptied it to flirt up a French guy .. showing off as if she is a good girl - good enough to entertain a cheapo-french guy, not telling the french fellow the bottle was paid by another guy .. (of course, why fret over minor details ?? :) )

And then again, I know enough and more, who would take a bullet for me .. and have got into scuffles at occasions, to help me out of some screwed up situations.

Works both ways.

Would I trust locals I made friends, in bars and such places ? Never and never.

Would I blindly trust Filipinos I made friends in Singapore : Some, 100%, some - never .. as I know the score, I will be a walking ATM, once i land in PH .. and guys, I mean male guys, have no worry in ripping off a fellow worker ..

And recently, as another example, a former Filipino colleague still working in Singapore, met me, and when the food came, asked me to pay, as "you have less commitments right ?? "as if that justifies making me a sponsor ..

I smiled, paid the 50 $ or so bill, and then when he wasn't watching, ordered a bottle of Black label, and the guy, knowing I am a Generous person, started sharing the bottle out to his friends who were arriving, and on cue, I walked out and told the bartender, my friend will settle the 180$ bill in full.

When the guy figured out he has been set up, started calling me and I went "well, I don't have credit card to pay, you got a card, you pay first, let's settle it another day"

So, as an example, see .. that too can happen, even in Singapore ..

And another ? I met a filipina with whom I have been putting the right foundations, and one day, when we went for a drink in CQ, her cousin boy saw her, and asked if he can join - well, that was nice to ask, and me says "Sure" and .. when I ordered a jug of beer, the cousin guy goes "I don't like beer, let me order Whiskey Jug .. " and I was thinking he will pay ... guess what ? he palmed the bill off to me .. don't ask the logic of me paying for him though my meet was with the fellow's cousin girl .. All I remember is he sort of hinted that I earn more than him as if that justifies me paying for his drinks ..

Tough choice - either insult the guy and loose my girl or play safe. I played safe, then when we went to Arena, at the entrance, I loudly told "hey, I don't have any more money, can you pay for my entrance as well ???" he wasn't happy but my girl asked him to do it .. and then once inside, I proceeded to order my drink on his tab .. I don't have a Credit Card, remember ??

Would I have done better by reasoning with him ? No .. it won't help. With that kind of people, don't reason or try to use logic .. just burn them or walk away ..

And another one of whom, when she came to meet me came in a Ford Escalade LWB, which was packed to the rafter with her relatives, my heart sank when I thought of the bill I am going to be left with. Well, we went for dinner and at the first place when I pulled out my wallet I got an earful from my friend and she went on to remind me "not all filipinos are leeches ok ? I invited you, and I will pay for you .."

So ???
