Hi, forced to do a blood test @ tan tock seng.......blood test report was ok.
Does this test include HIV?..........i was blood tested cuz i had fever for 10 days......

no bro wat they are doing is to test your blood count as the suspect that u kana dangue fever after haveing fever for so long .my wife go thought that a few weeks ago.

How about those annual medical check-up offered by companies where blood sample taken. Do they test for HIV as well? or just for cholestral count?

Depends on the package...most pre-insurance screening will include HIV tests these days as treatment is expensive and the company will want to exclude this if detected before hand. Look through the checklist of bloodtests and you can find out what is included/excluded

the blood test does not include HIV test lah...iif your fever goes on and off for several days...8days or more...and there are traces of rashes on your body..(some ppl does not have rashes)...there might be a possibility of dengue fever..

if after the blood test, your white blood cell dropped...and keep dropping..even after medication...go to the hospital. very dangerous if it drops below 80.

you may be hospitalised, the doctor will do the neccessary test for ya...and this is when he will ask (if he is professional enough) if you had sex (does not matter if its protected or unprotected...cd is not 100%) other than your wife etc during the last 2 weeks etc...

if so, he will proceed to do the HIV testing..he will tell you first b4 taking your blood for HIV. pray hard hard after that.

dont worry lah, most of the time is dengue. fucking mosquitoes.. :mad:

A HIV test requires your consent. In other instances, blood tests taken by hospitals are usually routine or for specific purposes.

To threadstarter, if I remember correctly I have been telling u online to go for a HIV check up since last yr many times liao. What r u waiting for? Stop posting stupid questions pls, we r not doctors here. :rolleyes:

Last time go look under the DSC thread or under my signature for HIV test info. :(

Your case of fever of 8 days or more? Could be due to other things as well. If no request for HIV test, of course, they will not test for it. Dengue? Well, I kana before, so I know, fever for at least 4 or 5 days, followed by red spots like measles and then the whole body kana. Fucking tired and can't eat also.

Blood count goes below 70, then they admit you into hospital. THere are 4 types. Some more dangerous than others.

After kana, you are immue to that particular type for 1 year. According to what I read.

Me kana and MC for 2 weeks. :o
