As with all things, the band got boring soon enough and with midnight nearing, she told me that she wanted to continue exploring Singapore. So we ended up walking from Geylang to the National Stadium area, before crossing the infamous bridge where you could see the CBD, the Singapore Flyer. I’m sure all who went through BMT in NS will know what I’m talking about…it was part of the route march.

Still holding hands, we finally arrived at the Esplanade side of the water, directly opposite the Merlion. It was close to 3am at this point and the area was very deserted. As the night wind blew and provided some relief to the perspiration from the still air, Valentina took out her iPhone and began snapping pictures of MBS, the Merlion across the water and the scenery in general.
