Just a FR for people who wants to know how KTV is like in HCMC.
Went on a 5 day trip from 19/2 to 23/2, did some exploring with a few friends and this is what we found.
Tried 2 KTVs in D3 and 1 in D5, beer prices seem to have become alittle more expensive comparing to the last time i went 2 years back.
1st KTV
Went to a near KTV Tran Quang Khai street at D3, beer price was 43k per can, Martell price was at 2.6m for 750ml btle. Room charges was 250k per hour. Rejected the fruit bowl as its not worth it, they have many small charges like wet tissue, snacks, soft drinks etc etc..
Playability in KTV not as happening as i thought, even though the girls we have can speak alittle english/chinese. Felt it was like our YSH KTV. But the girls sat all the way till we left, and when they say that they're going to the toilet, it literally means they are going to the toilet, unlike in SG.
Tips for girls was 500k (Which i found pricey on my end) and also had to tip mummy 500k as well.
Ended the night with a massage in Bui Vien, which I initially thought was legit. GQ popped and was offered HJ for 500k and kept rejected, eventually price was reduced to 300k.
2nd KTV
Cannot remember location but its somewhere around D3. Anyway bad experience and not recommended. Girls can't play, can't communicate.
There was a girl among them who worked in SG before, she spoiled market by asking us to tip 800k (est SGD$50) as girls stayed all the way unlike SG "butterfly". Left shortly after awhile
3rd KTV
Heard from day 1 KTV girl saying that there's better KTV along Tran Quang Khai, so i took a taxi and asked driver where's the fun KTV which he knows along the street. He brought me over and gave me advices about the place as well. Tip for girls about 200-300k. same for Mummy. He said he have been there before and prices are one of the cheaper ones.
So visited KTV at Tran Quang Khai D3, price wise similar to first day, 42k per can beer, 2.6m for Martell and 250k/hr for KTV room charge.
Mummy came in and lined up girls, both my friends took 1 each but I didnt see any i liked so I asked if there are any more. She said there wasn't any more so i just told her that i didnt want any girls. But, 10mins later she brought in a 2nd group of girls which are more to my liking. Took 1 and started the night.
Playability still isn't as wild as what i expected but more to GFE, hugs and kisses and abit of touchy-touchy. Girls were able to converse slightly better here even though none of been to Singapore before.
Girls were tipped 300k, and same for Mummy. They requested us to tip waiter so we gave 100k for waiter tip.
Overall this was the best KTV we found, but its not what we really wanted.
Hopefully next trip will be better
