As for the Scums, I actually admire some of their more gentlemanly players ... Remi Moses, Frank Stapleton, Jesper Olsen - that's about it.
Ipswich ... Paul Mariner, Alan Sunderland, John Wark, George Burley - they were in that WWII movie with Stallone, Caine, Ardiles & Pele. Remember?
Mine was for Keegan, Dalglish (but only as a player), Nicol, Grobbelaar, Rush, Whelan, Wark & Johnston.
Actually, I think the most academically qualified player was Paul Powers (hope this old man remembered the name correctly) ... he was the captain of Man City, playing as left-back ... the only university graduate to have played professionally, if I'm not wrong.

i don t think alan sunderland played for ispwich if i m not wrong,as for university graduates steve coppell graduated frm the university of liverpool n liverpool s 2 legends steve highway n brain hall r uni grads as well
