The trick is to use the trolly so they couldn't really see how many bottle that you bring.
And if they still stop you, just give them some money about 50K-100K Rupiah.

Recently the checks are quite stringent. I was stopped twice at the customs checkpoint but I managed to "escape" the checks as one of my buddy happened to be on duty. I was told that they have received orders not to allow anyone with more than the limit to be brought into the country. Duty on the excess quantity will be charged. But the trouble of having to wait and pay the fine is a chore that should be avoided. So, lets say stay within the limit and that should be fine.
