My wife was back in her province the other day for her brother's wedding. I was trying all means to miss the event , and thank god, got a business deal in singapore, so flew back singapore. I gave my wife only around 13 million VND to spend there for 1 night. She gave her brother 4 million VND as gift, 2 million vnd for her parents and another 1 million to the kids of her brothers an sisters. Came back, still got a lot left.

What i want to say is that a lot depend on your ba xa. If her heart is with you, she will think for you. If she keep asking money for her family in VN, this shows her heart is not with you yet. Explain to your ba xa the expenses in singapore and how much you earn. This will allow her to understand. You need not accede to every request made by her family. They will never be satisfied and will never be happy with you. So no matter how much you give, you will still be a very bad son-in-law. So don't try to please them too much.
