I sat down in a lotus position and tried to throw out the many thoughts that come to my mind. Within the next 10 minutes, I was able to release all my tensions to bring my body and mind to a state of peace. This relaxation has allow me to focus my thoughts to be positive and reflect on my actions, my learning and very soon, it was already 30 minutes.

I opened my eye, thanked him for the breakfast and left the room with him to the dining table to have breakfast.

I caught a glimpse of Jenny and XX talking at a corner. Jenny opened the door and Joseph, John and Joseph’s wife, Ginger came in. Joseph has a please punch me face and his son, John was actually my senior in school. I remembered him because when I was in Sec 1, he was already in Sec 4 and was the school ruby player and was popular.

I knew that he subsequently got in to a famous Junior College (JC) but didn’t do well enough to get into a course in university of his choice. He continued to return to school to give motivational talks to the rest of the students and shared his life story in school. I didn’t know that he can play chess as most sportsmen are not good chess players based on my narrow stereotyping of people.

The men had a drink and chatted about some of the latest gossips relating to women and liberation of women. Ginger looked young, something like late 20s or early 30s and true enough, she was actually the second wife to Joseph. Ginger smiled warmly when she exchanged greetings with people and she was dressed in a polka dot dress, kitten heels and had a nice necklace with some small diamonds on them.

These are signs that Joseph was doing very well in his business and prospering.

Johnson seemed very impressed with Joseph’s achievements and very soon, he forgot about the need to win Joseph. After all, Joseph said that he has many good contacts and he would help to take care of Johnson’s welfare in business. After about 30 minutes of chatting and drinks, Joseph said that he would like his son to represent him to play against Johnson. Johnson accepted the challenge and in no time, all of us were surrounding the 2 men, battling each other to the death.

The table was covered by a long and neat flower pattern table cloth. John was seated between Joseph and me while Johnson was flanked by XX and Ginger, the two pretty women. All the while, Ginger was making eye contact with me while the 2 men, Johnson and Joseph had a warm up match.

Some background info about me. I was raised by my late grandmother who was quite an accomplished face and palm reader. She was self-taught and got the skills after she woke up from a comma as a result from an attack by a Japanese soldier during the 2nd world war in Malacca. I shall not relate the full story of who she got the skills and what she saw in her comma. Many villagers visited her for advice while she was in her middle age.

When I was a small boy around 7 to 8 years old, she trained me in the art of identifying people who would have affinity with me and those who would turn devious. I was also taught how to read some simple fortune such as whether one would be successful in life, have good career, etc.. but not predicting 4D or TOTO. From the face reading, I can tell that Ginger has a strong affinity towards me and the relationship between Johnson and Joseph were devious in nature. John is another person who would become a trouble to my life, though I could take actions to correct it.

In the chess match, John and Joseph would counsel each other and I could hear them speak. I decided not to intervene to help Johnny as it was a warm up match. The combination of the two men proved to be a formidable foe for Johnny and they quickly defeated him. Johnny protested.

Johnny: Hey,,, not fair, Two Against One

Joseph: I make it fair for you lah.. If I lose, I introduce you to an African Ruler who has good lobang for your business and you can buy exotic birds from him. If you lose, I get to help you service XX for a week loh…

Johnny: Like that you consider as fair meh…? XX was obviously disgusted with Joseph and I couldn’t tahan his halitosis too.

Joseph: Then you tell me how to make it fair to you? I get my son to service XX also. He young man, can take 4 days. I take 3 days is good enough. Swee boh?

Johnny: Nonsense… If I win, I want the African ruler contact, air travel there with Ginger accompanying me for the week. Cannot 1 vs 2. We do 2 vs in the chess game. First game, we do a one to one match, you and me. Second match, would be any combination of 2 vs 1 or 2 vs 2 up to us.

Joseph: Shut up and let us get started.

Joseph defeated Johnny narrowly in the first match. Johnny asked for some time break for drinks and re-charging. XX came to speak with me that I mustn’t lose in the second match. She doesn’t want Joseph and John who were now opening lusting after her.

I told her not to worry. I can defeat Joseph, though I am not confident about John.

In the second match, it was me against Joseph. Being familiar with Joseph’s moves, I deployed ping feng ma strategy to counter him and forced him into a defensive position.

When John returned from his long toilet break, he could only helped his dad to stay on the game longer but couldn’t reverse his fortune. I won the second match. Hooray… XX hugged me after I check mate Joseph and put him his king on the guillotine.

While the rest of the people get their drinks and relax a little before the final third match, Ginger approached me.
